Many people have been looking for the Recon Armor (Unknown Armor), so many that it took up almost 600 pages on Bungie.net. After countless theory's and hints from Bungie employees they announced today that it isn't unlockable to the public. Some of the theory's were that you had to beat the game on legendary with all the skulls active, or that you had to save all the marines on floodgate. I'm kind of disappointed to be honest, I was following that thread and was hopping to get my hands on that hard-to-get armor.

The same counts for the flames. Don’t be too jealous however, since the flaming head makes us a giant target and is reflected in our online performances sometimes. We’ve had literally thousands of requests.
No apologies however to the dude last night telling me to “turn down the retardation” in a game of Social Slayer.
