My story is less stellar: Bought first 360 at retail location, failed with 3 red lights after aprox 8 months. Returned thru MS for replacement. This unit failed aprox 4 months later with the error 74 problem ( internal graphics chip ). Called support and they said there is no warranty on replaced consoles but they said I could get a discount on repair. So, I'm SOL I guess. It seems I'd have a better time getting a core system with a good extended warranty.
