I myself have never been a Rainbow Six fan. Too much team interaction overall. If you operate as a group, your chances are better. If you operate as a run and gun team, not as good. Now the run feature is a plus, as for anything before kinda sucked. The use of cover is much better and nice for you can get an aim going before you peak around the corner. The sound is great in my opinion. I am a sound guy so that is one of the first things I notice. Reloading around a corner to shots fired up or down in the next room. It is clear and distinctive. I actually have to think that if a window is broken and I'm stepping on the glass anyone can hear me. That is a nice feature. But the game does seem to be in what COD4 had as Hardcore mode, all the time. You take a hit it's a hard hit no matter what armor your wearing. I like the maps, haven't figured them all out but I do like the dynamics and the change up. They have improved from anything I have seen before, but still behind on the times. COD4 has marked the standard and I do love that game. Camo in R6V2 can make or break you I found out. If your in black in the Villa map your screwed inside the house. For it is white. So that I like, but you have to change your attire everytime you start a new map, downfall. But I will play it since I receive my copy from Gamefly to keep for awhile. I overall so far enjoy Terrorist Hunt, but want to experience Story Mode for the full effect of Xbox Live.
