I just had suggestions, nothing more. I didn't think that your tourny was bad or lacked anything. I just had an idea and thought I would share. Also my thinking for the whole "East vs West" was just the time difference. You have people in the middle of the country too. My idea was just to help bring everyone together, not every night though. Some couldn't make it every night. I know I am one of them. So I figured we could still enjoy this Tourny with you but earlier. On days were we can join your room at your time then we could. If I ever pissed you off by posting my thoughts on your hard work, then I'll take your advice. I'll make my own. Make it to our over all liking and if anyone has ideas to improve or disapprove it, then I will listen. Next time I will just keep my ideas to myself when it is your thread.

First night if 2 rooms are needed, then we will decide who wants to go in what room, rankings don't matter. After first race if 2 rooms are needed then go by rankings.
The difference in East Coast vs. West Coast in separate rooms and two rooms at the same time is that no matter what your rankings then chances are you will get a chance to race with everyone. I haven't seen one of these tournaments yet where as time goes by that there are not nights when only one room is needed. Plus, unless I misinterpreted what you said there would be a time difference in when the races are run. With 2 rooms running at the same time we still have a chance to bs with each other as we start to gather up for the race until we see how many rooms are needed and a chance to possibly bs with each other afterwards. Plus unless I misinterpreted it then you were suggesting total separation of the East and West coast site members. What I was shooting for here was a SITE event.
As far as you pissing me off, well you didn't, I was just voicing my opinion. I had already addressed the first post regarding collisions on or off and then a few more followed. I don't know, but to me an opinion would state "I would prefer collisions on." I guess what I interpreted was "I want collisions and if there are not, then I am not racing." Not just once, but a couple times. When to me the whole idea of this tournament is simply to get together and have fun. I know there are some who like collisions off as that is what the votes in the past have indicated. So I was simply suggesting if someone does not want to race because of the collision status, then to make one to your liking. Pretty simple, straight forward and no malous intended. Just my opinion. I think part of what causes some problems here is that I am blunt and to the point most the time and it seems people tend to take me more seriously than I take myself. I am just here to have fun. Taking the time to try to get something going was not self-serving. I would much rather just hop on board someone else's work and go along for the ride. I just decided to put the time into getting us together again, so in my opinion part of the payoff of putting in the time is to set up a tournament the way I would like one to be. If it doens't match what everyone wants, then that is to expected. To say again, if you put the time into setting up a tournament, I will gladly join whether YOU choose to have collisions on or off in yours simply to have fun with the other site members. (As long as the time it is run allows this)But I do know with the lag issues I experience with my provider, especially lately, then either I would be taking someone out or they would me when it doesn't look like it on one of our screens. It has been my experience that this situation has a greater potential to cause problems. That is why I chose to run this one without.
If you look I am open to suggestions. Time and day, how many of you have actually posted what day and time would NOT work for you and which ones would if your preferred time wouldn't? That is why time is not set yet, if I just decided to do it at the premium time for me, then it would already be set. That is why I included the time that has in the past been convenient to the East Coast people, so if there are more of them (as seems to be the case) then the time that is more convenient to them is available to be voted on. Another example is TreeTops statement that 7 laps is too many on Nubergring. My idea was that the finale should be more than the other ones. But I took his suggestion and stated that we could run fewer laps.
I guess a good way to look at it is that no matter who sets up a tournament, then although they may consider others suggestions, and I truly don't mind getting suggestions, then the final decision is the persons who took the time to set up and take the time to keep it current.
So please, let's just get a time and day decided as I would like to start it either the 18th or 19th (depending on day decided) and just have FUN.
Part of why I picked the R1 class is because the outcome IS less predictable. Anything could happen from one race to the next.
