Racial Remarks?

I've been meaning to ask this for awhile. Has anyone noticed the large number of people using the "N" word while playing COD? It seems as though I'm hearing it several times a day...why is that? Is it a "Free-for-all" thing or is it happening in "Team Games" as well? I don't know about anyone else, but I'm blown away by it. I just finished a game in-where a guy screamed the "N" word throughout the entire game. Oh course I gave him bad feedback, but will M$ do anything about it?..probably not. In another example a Cacassion guy from Canada was going nose-to-nose with an African America guy from Florida. Why do I know where they lived?, because they were very clear about that. In fact, the Cacassion guy said he was going to fly to Florida and kick his ass. At any rate, in this example the African America guy called the Cacassion guy the "N" word about 27,000 times during the course of a single map. What's up this kind of behavior?

Stupid fucking kids/people. That name was tossed around in Halo 2 alot and in R6.

I haven't seen a way to boot stupid ass's from a COD 4 room. Can it be done?

You have to be the host to boot. Personally as soon as I hear something goofy like that I hit the select button and mute the person asap.

It's those kinds of conversations that keep me away from multiplayer games. Sure at their best, COD4 and H3 are awesome! But when playing games with the lowest common denominator of life ... not so much fun.

I leave the game immediately when I hear that sort of language. Bad thing, it seems to usually be the Af-Am using the word the most. Though on many occasions it sounds like the high pitch voice of a kid whose balls haven't dropped yet and has no clue. I try to catch the name and leave negative feedback. Will MS do anything, I don't know, but have read in others games forums where their accounts have been suspended, but I don't know. If I happen to be the host I will boot them.

I have recently set my console to play the voices through the TV as well as my headphones. My wife wants to hear what we say, and what I am laughing at, I don't like hearing the racists comments, the "how many cuss words can I say in 30 seconds" thing many young idiots like, and the long annoying scream. I don't want her to have to listen to this either. This is why I usually just drop the game, no matter how well I may be doing.

The good thing is, I find lots of good matches with seemingly mature players most of the time.

One of the things that really turned me off on LIVE was the jerks. Especially the ones that act like they do just for the sake of it.

Annoynimity is essential to protect one's saftey but it's downside is that it allows these idiots to continue acting like they do.

The feedback system is essentially useless as proven by a OXM article awhile back. They need a system the automatically bans people when they reach a certain complaint criteria/quota.

Personally this is why Goblin and I have websites. 95% of the time I am with people from my or other sites so I dont have to deal with this stuff. Having all older guys in a room is fun for me.

That's true, but I've been working my way through the COD4 weapons challenges and I've found it to be a lot quicker in Free-for-all...so I haven't been spending much time with my buddies lately. That will change pretty quick, as I'm working on my last sniper rifle now.
