Well I finally reached level 55 and was awarded the Golden Desert Eagle last night. Now it's just a matter of finishing all the challenges, some of which are pretty difficult. For example: 150 head shots with all the sniper rifles. I'm not even sure that's doable with the current maps. Maybe if you were able to turn the kill cam off, but what this game needs a good sniper map. Something similar to the one that Greyfox made for Far Cry. Tall grass, mountains and tons of trees. That would be awesome!

Weapon challenges (150 head shots): From what I understand, when you complete all the weapon challenges in each category those weapons will turn to gold.

Assault Rifles:

1. M16: Done.
2. AK47: Done (Gold).
3. G3: Done.
4. M4: Done.
5. M14: Done.
6. G36c: Done.
7. MP44: Done.

Sub Machine Guns:

1. MP5: Done.
2. Scorpion: Done.
3. Mini-Uzi: Done (Gold).
4. AK47u: Done.
5. P90: Done.

Light Machine Guns:

1. M249 Saw: Done.
2. RPD: Done.
3. M60E4: Done (Gold).

Shot Guns (Only 100 head shots required):

1. W1200: Done.
2. M1014: Done (Gold).

Sniper Rifles:

1. M40A3: Done.
2. M21: Done.
3. Dragunov: Done (Gold).
4. R700: Done.
5. Barrett .50 Cal: Done.

I agree with the headshots. I have a hard enough time just getting on target with the whole body let alone a puny head!

One of the ways that I do it is by taking advantage of snipers. When I run across one looking the other way, I'll take the extra time to aim for his/her head. In fact, if someone snipes me...I'll usually go looking for them just to get a free head shot.

I like to sneak up on them and knife the guy. Most are smart enough to move.

There's nothing more satisfying then knifing an unsuspecting sniper, but you need head shots to level up your weapons.
