Unfortunately it didn't go over very well against live opponents. Apparently most of them felt that it was an fair tactic, but to me it was just another tool in my arsenal. Not unlike protecting your sniping point with claymores. Besides, there's 3 ways to win. Kill them, Destroy their base or Control more combas. Plus, isn't the whole purpose of a "Heavy Gunner" is to pulverize the enemy from a safe distance.

At any rate...I stopped base dialing after receiving some bad feed back, but at one point I knew of several spots/maps where I could position myself to identify and destroy the enemy's base within a few short minutes...pretty cool!

The Howitzers were the HW300. I'd usually setup at maximum range so all I had to do was aim straight up and pull the trigger (like the video).
