Speaking of Uni... where has he been lately? I thought he would be here already too. (didn't you guys all post on another forum w/ Uni a couple of months ago?)

Poor guy... he had a ton of stuff going on the last time I talked to him. I'm sure he'll be back in time for Halo 3 though.

Back to the 360 nightmares, I got a call from a buddy of mine here in NC (SifuJim - also a Possum) and his 360 got the red rings of death last night during a Guitar Hero II session.

He's the first person I know around here that has had any problems. SifuTed, Brenticus and myself - along with a few others - have been okay. *fingers crossed*

The only problem I have ever had with my 360 is that my DVD tray never wants to open - I have to tap the tray after pressing eject and then it opens. I changed my faceplate and may have got it out of wack somehow, though it opens just fine if there is a game inside.

Well my xbox died last night, no Red ring of death, but freezes up on every game I put in. Called xbox and it will cost me $99 to send it in. So, just to let you all know, Im going to be without for about a week.

A week? If you're sending it back to Microsoft, my guess is you'll be without it for at least 10 days.

Ya, if they're wanting $99.00 to repair it...you're probably better off buying a new core system and using your hard drive.

It may seem almost too simple, but have you tried some canned air on the back of the unit to free up some of the dust particles so its not as prone to over heating? I've heard this work on numerous occasions recently for people experiencing freeze ups.
