Default Interesting story overheard in Wallies

So, I'm in the isle of the wallies video games and I hear this discussion of the xbox360. A guy is standing there looking at the 360's and this lady is talking about their 360. And how much they like it. Then she tells about their's just dying and they are going to get the "halo" version. Sounds like they are just going to replace and not even try to get the old one fixed. (it'll probably turn up on ebay) It really pisses me of about the xbox360. and is really starting to sway me from the 360. I don't want to sink the kind of money into a nextgen game system just to be getting a throw-away toy.

Anyone know anything about the PS3 having reliability issues like the 360? I did a google of "ps3 reliability issues" and there doesn't seem to be the same kind or number of issues with the PS3. Funny thing though in the top ten returns on google for this three are xbox360 related.

Ron

I've had more then my share of problems with regards to bad 360's, but I truly believe that Microsoft has finally got their act together. I love my 360 and I'm sure you would as well Ron. The online interface is amazing. Take a look at all the feature available through the dashboard. You can download tons of demo's, purchase movies, play arcade games, video chat with you buddies and a whole lot more... I don't have a PS3, but it's my understanding the online interface can't hold a candle to what Microsoft has to offer...not yet anyway.

Everything you can do in the XBox 360 dashboard you can do on a PS3. Also PS3 online is free, it supports any blue tooth headset for voice chat or you can attach a usb headset like I do. PS3 doesn't have a well established message system yet. At this time it works like e-mail. Spring of 08 is when they will be releasing there new interface. I was thinking ... an Elite is a waste of money when you consider what you get when you buy a PS3. The Elite should at least come with a HD-DVD drive or something, no way that price can justify a larger hard drive and different color. There are so many awesome design choices Sony made, like the fact the controllers dont take batteries. You simply attach it to a usb every now and then to charge it, I usually do it while I'm watching a movie. Also the PS3 internet browser is amazing if you have a nice HDTV. Im rambling ... I have to get ready for work.

The PS3 interface isn't as inivitng and user-friendly as the 360 is. Also, in my opinion, there aren't that many good games out for the PS3 as there are for the 360. But, the PS3 is a very good Blu-Ray player! It's true though Ron, the 360 hardware sucks. I had one that got the 3 red rings, sent it to M$, and then 3 or 4 months later, got the same thing back. I was not very happy. The PS3 also does have the better hardware, in terms of performance. It has some amazing looking graphics, and awesome power, but there is just one problem, programming. I have said this from the begining, you have such an advanced chip in the thing, that it's going to take developers years to make just an arcade game! If I were you, I would look at where are all of my friends at, and what am I going to out of the system the most.
