Okay Tree I see what your saying. You make a valid point. I'm not that competitive in any game anymore to really care about such things. I'm neither here nor' there as far as glitching goes. I turned my back to it once at XBL and I got raped for it. I was accused of being as bad as the cheaters themselves for not taking action against it. But whatever that was a long time ago. Ya know even in professional sports, if taking steroids or exploiting something is what you have to do to win, then the guilt or damage associated with it is the price paid. All I want is entertainment. If roided up players make for fun to watch baseball then cool. All things aside, I don't care. I just like getting together once a week and racing for fun. I'm not good enough to be competitive on a tournament level so I just prepare myself the best I can and I remember to have fun no matter what the outcome.

Like Wobbly said, this is Silver's league and whatever he says goes. When TCP hosts an official tournament then Wobbly and I can decide on the matter. As for now, tune your cars and get ready for race day!

Do you fellas remember the first league I paticipated in? I ran a B-Class Honda Civic on Silverstone Int. that had like 700+HP and somewhere around -.03 in handling. That car was much the same as the GT40, when you added race parts to the engine it sometimes didnt raise the PI or when it did it was only a point or two. I think this happens when the program calculates the PI and decides that the extra HP doesnt amount to much when the handling is taken into consideration. The Charger and the Vette, just to name a couple, are the same way. I really don't think these cars can be called "glithced" as such.
As for this being "my" tourny, I never intended for it to be that way. I am just willing to do the work so that my on-line buddys can have fun. I do not want anybody to leave because of something like this. With all this being said, I think you should be able to run any damn car in this game that you think will get you better times. Believe me if I thought I could run the GT40 competivetly for 25lps I would and I can run some pretty damn hard to handle cars with decent results. This car is is a bitch to even drive in a straight line let alone make it corner!

I hate to say it but I agree with Silvers last post. I don't believe that the car is a glitch car at all. As soon as you put tires on it, it goes to a U Class car. So I must say run with it if you like it, but be careful it's a hand full.

Well, I guess I just haven't upgraded enough cars then because I don't recall EVER seeing another car not even go up a single point when adding four or more engine upgrades.

Sure Todd, and it also goes way up when you put on either of the bumpers. I have a challenge for you all then. Take a car that starts out at the same class with a similar starting PI. Add everything except the tires and bumpers. Does it go above an S class? This is of course with the same upgrades available. Does it stay at the SAME PI with 4 engine upgrades added? Heck, I might even go do that myself once I build up some money just to see if it IS an "abnormallity" for any car to stay in one place when upgrading. Sorry to make such a big deal about this, but to me to even claim it isn't a glitch it just so ridiculous to me. It is really simple to me....add horsepower or handling capabilities to a car and it's performance WILL go up.

So I guess what I got out of all this is that there is different definitions of what is a glitch and what isn't. In fact, I think the lowest I have ever seen a cars PI go up with any engine upgrade is 6 points. I honestly didn't know that there were cars that only went up 1 point or even zero when you added engine upgrades, especially didn't know that it was normal for ANY car to not go up in PI with several engine upgrades.

Sorry I got everyones panties in a bunch. Next time I will just stay quiet when I see something totally different in a game that I have seen before and something that is almost exactly why the scoreboards were reset. Damn, they reset all my scores only for me to find out the Elan (which I didn't use anyways) was not a normal definition of a glitch car after all.

I do agree with you Silver on one thing though. I don't care if anyone does use it as I believe that to be a personal choice. Of course that is based on my still existing belief that it IS a glitch even though there are several who think otherwise. I guess what you are saying is that added HP doesn't add to the "performance" index on this car because all that added power makes the handling worse?? If that is the case, then I wonder why in different real race series they limit either engine size or horsepower? Just wanted to post my observations and opinion on the matter

I was'nt going to use the car. This debate was better than any Presidential debate I have seen! I know this is just a game, but this all really says something for the quality of simulation of the game and how much we are into it.

I have upgraded many of the muscle cars, and many of them, as you add power componets, don't make the PI jump like most other cars. Glitched? I don't know, Turn 10 to a good look at all these before. But like someone else said, you can't even put sport tires on it with out if jumping to U class, let alone the bumpers. I put one together, and ran it(if you could call it that.) I could not keep it under control with all assists on in a straight line. So, I say if you want to run it, run it, but I will beat you. I bet I could beat anyone that runs it, with one of my A class pocket rockets. Maybe in B-class to. Over 25 laps of course, with damages on.
