R1 Race Series - Page 4

All this drama is why I lay out a race by putting it on the Calendar with the settings out there. If you want to participate you'll sign up. If not, we'll see you some other time. I also never try to run a several week structured event. People just don't always have time to come week after week at a set time. Greyfox, if you want to run a series I suggest you 1) put it on the calendar when you know YOU can run it. 2) display YOUR settings and schedule. If people think they want to participate, they'll sign up. If they don't like your ideas, they won't. If they don't like the way YOU set it up- let them set one up themselves.

Though I think I voted for the 7pm start time, I was thinking ET and not PT. Even though this is a weekend series, that would still be a lil late to get started for my preference, but if that is the decided time, I will be there. I prefer maybe a bit earlier, say by an hour.

I look forward to racing. I race with the hope I can win, but mainly for the laughs we always have. R1 will be quite the challenge.

Time has not been set yet. For sure 2 ppl that voted for the 7pm time thought it was eastern so we still need to figure out when would work best. The 7pm time is definately looking less likely. So if you all could, post the actual time that would work best for you either here or in the Time/Day poll if you need to see the available times to vote for.

I plan on posting the race time and day Saturday, so if you have an idea of when is best for anyone who plans or would like to race in this series, then please post your preference by then. Thanks.

I agree totally!!

You will never be able to accomodate everyone.

There will always be someone that will complain.

As long as my copy of the game shows up from the goozex trading site in time, I'm in. If I can't make the race, I'll let fox know by saturday afternoon. Hopefully the game will come in time for me to get in a little practice before the race. Otherwise, I'll just jump in.

I don't know for sure if i'll be able to do all races in the series or not, but i hope to. I'm waiting to hear from my dr. as to when I go in for knee surgery on my "good" knee. Hopefully it will be within the next couple of weeks, but who knows. Just depends on my insurance company is all.

ps-my best time to start would be around 5 or 6 pm pacific time, but as long as its not an early morning start, any time works for me !

Yep. Saturday, April19, 2008 at 5:30pm pst, 6:30pm mst, 7:30pm cst and 8:30pm est.

It is also on the calender ready for sign ups if you want.
