Talking Wheel/Chassis/Buttkicker

Here's a few idea's (in no particular order) that might help some of you looking to put a racing setup together.

Bob Earl Racing Chassis with a mounted behind the seat.

Buttkicker mounting template.

Warcrime built this one himself...nice!

TreeTopFlyer's setup...simple and clean.

B1GDAD's setup. Again, simple and clean.

Greyfox's setup. Simple and seems to work really well.

Turbo X used a simple folding chair.

My personal favorite is this one designed and created by Uniball.

OK so i figure my couch has been a pretty good gaming chair since the ColecoVision and didnt want to change a goog thing....so I made this this morning for my new wheel, wich BTW still sucks!!! I am getting used to it and starting to see the benifits of having it. When your smooth with you are SMOOTH, when your not HOLY CRAP! do you pay for it! Anyhow, here are a few pics of my red-neck leftover lumber from the kitchen upgrade racing seat...

Looks like something along the same lines as the one that Greyfox built.

There's defiantly a learning curve to get through, but if you stick with it you'll see how real an experience the wheel actually makes it...different game all together. For me it was a matter of learning how to use both of feet at the same time. Once I mastered that, my lap times got much better.

For me I found that if I tilted the wheel down about 10 or 15 degrees that it was more comfortable.

I found the same thing here. I went and shimmed the wheel where it mounts to the table to give it a more comfortable rake.
