Default Quadriplegics Playing Shooters

Check this out, it's inspiring.

Quote taken from a post in the MLG forums.
Quote:
I was messing around in DLC Slayer last night with some friends, and we came across a guy named Kolorado11 who had over 6500 games played and had around 2800 EXP. He was a Colonel Grade 4 so automatically I had it in my mind that this was a no life who is terrible. Everytime I killed him I T-Bagged him (Which I usually don't do, I was just in a slap-happy mood just messin around) and there was some times when I didn't even know how I lived. After the game he told me his story in about 10 seconds (After I was a ****) and then leaves, my friends were saying 'there is no way hes telling the truth' and wouldn't believe it but I wasn't exactly so sure. I already felt like ****, Cyren checked out his bio where he had a short paragraph explaining his situation, and at the end it says to go to Youtube and type in "Kolorado11". So we went and checked out the video and as i watched I just sat there, feeling lower and ****tier than I think I ever have in my life and thinking to myself - "This kids cool as ****". After I watched it I sent him a message apologizing for what I said but that didn't help at all, I still couldn't even play Halo, I was just sitting there thinking about how much of a ****** I was to this guy and just so many mixed emotions. This guy really changed how I'm going to approach people on XBL now, who have tons of games with a low amount of EXP. A day later I still feel like ****, and just wish I was nice to him from the start.

I know I'm not the only one who likes to mess with people or be mean to players who have tons of games with low EXP, so of those who watch this maybe you'll think twice next time like I do, or if you see him you can say something and that you've heard of him, it will probably make him feel good

This guy, N0MAD is parallelized from the neck down so he has to use his face to use the controller.

Valuable lesson. I had the same type of experience at my job. One day this man calls my work about some problem he had that was not the County's responsibility. I was unsure if it were a Dept. of Transportation project or a Builder that needed to be called. His problem was related to a retention pond being dug for a new subdivision. I told him I did not know who he needed to call but it wasn't us. After I hung up a supervisor wonders in and I ask him if he knew what the deal was. He said that the Dept. of Transportation was digging that pond and they needed to be called. This man who called is a regular caller with tons of complaints in our call tracking system. So, I look up his phone number and call the guy back up tell him he needs to call the Dept. Of Transportation and they are in the phonebook. He asks me if I know the number and I tell him again they are in the phonebook. With that he informs me that he is blind and doesn't even have a phonebook. I felt pretty bad because, I know the phone number by heart. I refer so many people there that it's etched in my head. I didn't want to help the guy because he causes so much paperwork and many of his calls are frivolous. He's an habitual caller. Now if that guy calls I think how boring his life might be and something that a busy able bodied person might not call in about may cause a blind person problems. Now, I TRY to go they extra mile and be as helpful to any constituent callers who may call. You never know who you are speaking with so I figure that's how it should be.

That is a good read. I take incoming calls and make outgoing calls all day. So I talk to roughly 50-100 people a day. From all over the Midatlantic. You have your southerns, your yankees, and the people from out of state moving into the area. I deal with everything from California to Maine. The accents always get me and I have fun trying to figure out where they are from. Some customers you can joke with and just have fun. Some you have to watch every word that you say. But from time to time I have a blind person call in on TDS and have a mediator typing to him what I say. Those take alot longer than average calls, but I get an insight to this customers life. Best part, all of these customers are buying new houses. Fresh on the market or about to be built. So for some, you have stress of selling the old house and buying a new one. Some are just doing it for their kids, and some are just having a good time finally buying their first new house. Either way out of all of this you have so many different types of people doing the same thing. It puts things in perspective for me, knowing that everyone is different and live everyday.
