I don't know, it looks like an all out racing sim thats not focused on building your car collection, but focused on all out racing with your friends. I'm hoping for the best, i've seen the other thread a while back. Games evolve alot during their development, maybe this one will turn out to be a winner.

Yea, it still might be a winner, will have to see. I am definitely keeping my eye on it. In fact, I check the official "GRID" site every day and it's one of my Firefox home pages.

I just think it kind of sucks to have NO tuning at all or NO pit stops at all. I know at the very least I will give it a rent and check it out. One thing in it's favor to me and what I enjoy is that it will have Formula 3 cars. I was hoping for F1 cars, but no go from what I hear.

I think one thing they are focusing on is the team aspect of racing, but it isn't really clear to me how much of that will be in the multiplayer or how it will work. Things are just starting to get less sketchy than they were before.

Edit: Oh yea, another thing that looked appealing to me is that you will be able to race more cars than Forza. I have heard two numbers on this so far so I am not sure how many. I have seen both 12 and 20 mentioned. I think, but am not sure that maybe the 12 is for gaming consoles and 20 is for PC version.

If they would just make TOCA 3 Backwards compatible, Id be happy!! Great physics in that game. You could tune and it had pitstops mandatory in the single player.

I liked it better than FORZA

I did to, but according to the web site they want to make it backwards compatible, but MS is saying no for some reason. From all I have gathered they are still hoping that if enough ppl complain to MS then they will be able to. At least that was the story I gathered form them, not sure how true that is as it seems sometimes companies simply choose to make MS their scapegoats for their own decisions.
