I've been doing a lot of thinking about old times lately and this movie has a special place in my heart. You see I was a Journeyman Linemen for the Southern California Edison Company for over 20 years. During that time I had the pleasure of watching this movie with my buddies on a number of occasions...mostly rainy days while waiting for all hell to break loose.

A legend widely known by lineworkers in the industry! Two reckless linemen in love with one gal.

Produced by Warner Bros. in 1937. Cast includes Henry Fonda, Pat O'Brien, and Margaret Lindsay. Black and white movie.

Interesting Movie Trivia:

• Southern California Edison linemen were used as stunt men.
• This movie was filmed in Southern California.
• A 110 foot wooden elevator was used to film some of the scenes.
• An accurate reproduction of the Victorville substation of the Los Angeles Bureau of Light and Power was constructed on the Warner Bros. soundstage.

We live in Victorville, CA and I've worked in the Victorville Substation many times throughout the years.
