Which location is closet to you?

I'm trying to figure out who I generally have the best connections with (latency time) so if you have a chance please go to Speedtest.net and pick the location that is closest to you so I can test and see who would make the host as far as latency goes.

The closest one to me is Ephrata, WA but might as well try Seattle, WA too.

Note: I plan on trying a test for each location in the morning and the evening to get different traffic load readings.

The closet to me is Los Angeles, CA.

That site is busted as hell. I was testing at a 200kbps download and 900+ upload.

Using http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ I got a more accurate download of over 9000kbps and 900 upload. Considering I pay for a 10mbps connection thats about right.

With speakeasy I have to use GA since FL isn't represented, but its still lickety split.




EDIT: Using Atlanta, GA instead of Orlando, FL ...



... conclusion ... maybe the one nearest your house isn't the best?!

Yeah I tested all over and for some reason Ft. Lauderdale was good and Jacksonville was good, but Tampa and Orlando which are an hour away West and South respectively were turning dial up numbers. Whats that all about?

The thing about the Speakeasy site is that it doesn't show latency speed and that was one of the main things I wanted to compare.

And no, probably the closest one may not be as good as if you could test to the exact city and provider, but just trying to get a ballpark here.
