Default Burnout, Paradise City

Well, I tried the demo for the 360 of course. I think it would be a good game just for kicking around tearing stuff up. Kind of a no pressure, just laughter night. I might rent it or play the demo some more and see. The only thing I was thinking is that it might get old fast.

But that depends on the different game modes. Seems like the city is HUGE though as just what was in the demo still has a lot to be explored.

I might even rent it if I am interested enough after playing the demo a little more. If that turns out then I might even ask the wife (if she isn't mad at me for one reason or another by then. ) to get it for my Bday.

If I get it then it will obviously be for the 360 as I don't see a PS3 anywhere in the foreseeable future as it just doesn't interest me right now because the main thing I like about gaming is the Live experience no matter what game.

From all I hear then that is just not there on the PS3 and I just don't see that happening within the next year.

I don't want to thread jack here but Warhawk is amazing, and that is online only for the PS3. I mean the online play for the PS3 can use some work but it's free. There is no lag and people with fast lines can host dedicated servers, the Xbox can't do that. Plus, it's one of the cheapest blue-rays on the market.

With that said, I would still rather buy games for the Xbox even if the game was made for both systems only because of all the people I know on XBL.

Anyway, back to Burnout.

Are you guys playing Burnout Paradise on the PS3 or the 360? If you have a copy for the 360, I hope to be online this weekend for some Paradise action.

The Green Guy is the only person I know that's playing it and he's on the PS3. I played through the demo, but can't see it holding my interest for more then a few minutes...so I'm passing on this one.

Damn you Wobbly! Were you a fan of Midtown Madness? This game evokes such a fantastic sense of sheer fun! Ah well, if your going to let a limited demo determine whether or not you like a game then I guess I can't change your mind.

As far as versions go - I bought the PS3 version to show my support for the system. It was designed for PS3 and ported to 360 thus looks a little cleaner with a better frame rate on PS3. I'm sure most multi-system guys will go the 360 route because of their friends list and maybe achievements, but if us Sony owners don't show the system some software love we will have wasted our investment in the system.

I don't know where you heard that? I hated Midtown Madness...only played it once or twice.

Sorry!

The only two games I kept from my original Xbox collection are Midtown Madness 3 and Rallisport Challenge 2. (in my opinion, RSC2 is the best racing game ever made)

I played Burnout Paradise for awhile last night but never actually started an event. The game is fun and I like how wide open it is, not to mention all the jumps it has spread out all over the place.

And then there are the achievements for whores like myself... so yes, go with the 360 version.

I went ahead and rented the full version. It is actually more fun than I thought it would be. I haven't played online yet, still checking out all I can do in it. I do like how wide open it is. I could see this game being good for get togethers filled with laughter. I did one stunt that was worth over 34000 points!!!

I think it would be a blast to play that one where you try to take out one car or in single player where they all try to take you out. Then the one where you see how many you can take out, I was killing them in that one. Was a blast!

I have it until next Tuesday, so if anyone wants to hit me up for some online, then let me know.

Oh and it's the 360 version
