The next thing Apple is working on is a bigger iPhone/tablet device. That should be really cool!!!

I really don't want to digress into a mac-v-pc debacle and I trying hard not to go there. Steve and Steve have brought us computer users many innovations and for those I'm thankful.
However, the more I look into the Macbook Air I'm more inclined to think it's some marketing stunt.
Who's it marketed to? Good question Desto, probably the primary market is the high end (read Rich Kid) college student who wants nothing more than the neatest and most expensive new toys to show off to their rich friends.
Innovative design? I'm not too sure it even qualifies as an innovative design. Look at any other laptop on the market today and think, how thin could this be made if we leave out the CD/DVD drive? Virtually any current laptop could be marketed as an "air" design. And think of the financial advantage with the "Air" design, Leave out parts, build a smaller case, and sell it for a higher price.
Innovative? Yes, it is! But the real innovation is in the marketing strategy not in the design.
Now Apple has made a few marketing blunders, Let's just see where their marketing innovation goes with the Air!
