Default Where'd TreeTop go?

Starting Saturday morning you guys won't see me playing for a while. For those of you who don't know, my wife started having medical problems in '04 that ultimately resulted in her retiring early (medical disability retirement). Her last day was in the last week in. We got her 1st disability check last week. It's 1/2 what she used to make. If we can get her approved for Social Security Disability, she'll be making close to what she was making working 32 hr/week and life won't be too bad. So, because of all the stress we've been under, we decided that we'd take some of our savings and take a little road trip while we still have some money. I'll be gone for around 2 weeks. We have no set destinations. We are simply cruising the Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee. Stopping as we please. We're going to pack a cooler and eat sandwiches or whatever during the days and eat dinner out. So, don't think you got rid of me. I'll be back!8)

Good deal Tree, I'm sure the trip will be great for you both! Hope your wife's health improves real soon.

Be careful.

It already has. She has photosensitive epilepsy. The flicker of flouescent lights or flat screen monitors (yes, even my big screen tv) stilmulate her brain in such a way it exhausts her. She sleeps all the time. The meds she's on prevent her from prolonged sunlight exposure. She had vocational rehab testing for 3 weeks. They say she can't work outside or under flourescent lights therefore, she's unemployable. Luckily she had 27 years in at work and got disability from there. It's something. With the grace of God we'll be ok though. I noticed a difference in her after just one week without work stress or being exposed to the lighting. Now, if I could get her to drop 30 pounds and take a buttload of valiums things would really look good for us! err...ME.

Awe, that explains why you're constantly parked in front of the TV.
All joking aside, it sounds like a pretty debilitating condition.

Thanks Green Guy. God has blessed us. We are sitting in a Comfort Inn in Charleston, SC right now. Getting ready to head to Mt. Airy, NC (where the Andy Griffith show was filmed). I'm hoping to get a glimpse of Aunt Bea's panties in the Mayberry Museum! My kid went there a few years ago with my parents and said it's a beautiful place. So, we're off to see for ourselves. I'll be checking in from time to time if anyone cares.

TTF

PS-I miss my Xbox.
