Never heard of it, but we missed ya last night. Mutiny, Fred, Warcrime and myself hooked up for some Headquarters...fun, fun, fun!

Pirates, so far, is a blast. However, I am a huge fan of MMOs. I played WoW for quite a while before I quit. Also, I am a big history buff, so seeing some of these stories retold in this setting is very interesting.

It isn't perfect; sailing from one city to another can take forever. Then again, running from one end of a continent to the other in WoW would also take forever. In WoW this was eased by the addition of flight paths, where PotBS doesn't have a fast-travel option. The player-based economy is very interesting; I'm begin to explore the crafting options and am very intrigued by the possibilities here.

I haven't made it out of my newbie-protection state yet, so I can't attest to the PVP combat. More to come on that as I figure it out.

If anyone is interested in downloading it and playing for 14 days, I have a 14-day trial key. However, be prepared for a pretty complex MMO.

Some friends and myself play it on the Kidd server. Pretty cool game so far. If you leave a boat in a port where you travel alot you can teleport there from the shipyard guy.
