Talking My GMP Competitor / Cobra

I just thought I'd post a few pics of my old "GMP Competitor / Cobra". It's actually a "GMP Competitor" with a "GMP Cobra" canopy and tail fin. I purchased it as a new kit in the early 80's, but found it very difficult to fly. That being the case, it's literally been sitting on a shelf in my garage for the last 20 years.

Engine: OS61V
Radio: Futaba FG Series
Servos: FP-S130's
Gyro: Kraft

That looks like it is a much larger copter than the one you are now flying.

Question Re: My GMP Competitor / Cobra

Probably, but I think it's pointless given the number of better helicopters on the market these days.

Ya know the truth is I can probably fly it much better now then I ever did back then. The reason being that I've spent hours & hours practicing on my simulator. Plus, I know a lot more about "properly" setting one up now. In those days we didn't have computers or forums full of people with all the answers. All we had were magazines. I
