So, they announced last night at the VGAs that Ubisoft will be making Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Why on earth they'd set ANOTHER Rainbow Game in the same city - a US city at that - I'm not sure. To me, the original Vegas was a wretched jump in a more arcade direction than the previous Rainbow games. I would love it if they capture the feel of the original Rainbow. Though I think Raven Shield was the best of the series.

I really enjoy RB6 Vegas, but in my opinion Ubisoft games lack several capabilities that should be standard in a fist person shooters. Like the ability to lay down or jump. GRAW 2 for example was a beautiful looking game, but you couldn't walk through the bushes or even jump down from one area to another...which meant you were forced to go around. Far Cry on the other hand has all that stuff built in, so why it wasn't included in their higher end games is beyond me. Maybe we'll see it in RB6v2?

Seeing how you've progressed so much in COD4, I doubt you'll be that easy...but I look forward to giving it a try.

Yea, heck Fred I have never seen anyone improve as much as fast as you have in so many games. I don't see that you will be dominated in any game at this point.

And chances are when you "think" Wobbly is dominating it is actually Mutiny playing on Wobbly's system. lol hahahahah

I have mine pre-ordered.

Some new things that Ive read about for Vegas 2:

1) Destructible environment. You can shoot away someone's cover with bullets.
2) You can now shoot through thin walls and doors.
3) You can sprint
4) AI is improved to include the terrorists and your team.
5) Terrorists can and will use shields.
6) You can use your PEC character in the single player story as well as all multiplayer modes.
9) approx, 9 new weapons.
10) Shotgun effective ranges will be reduced (no sniper spaz)
11) In the single player story, you can direct your AI teamates to toss grenades to a certain local. Down halls, stairs, over railing etc.....

I sure hope so LOOON! I'm looking forward to this game, but COD4 set the bar really high...hope R62 is at least as good.

I agree that COD4 set the bar pretty high. I sure hope RB6V2 is pretty good as I have already paid for it!!!!

One thing I hope they changed was the ability to lay down and jump!!!

I hope so too, but I'll be really surprised if you can. I'd also like to be able to map my controller...that would be awesome!
