Socom: confrontation

Anybody here stoked about this game!?!? I absolutely love the socom series. I've played them since the first one and i faded on socom 3 cause they tried to do too much. i was going to get a 360 but then i read the article about this socom and now i'm getting a ps3

I've never played a SOCOM game, but I'm sure if its any good I'll definately pick this one up.

it really has been the best console online game not too many people have heard of. It's a great game and sells millions of units every year but it doesn't get as much recognition as halo or other games like that. If any of you guys have a ps2 or ps3 i would suggest you pick up socom 2 or 3 out of the bargin bin. The single player isn't that fun, it's all about online play.

I think the only time I played it was at your house for 5 minutes Brad. 3rd person shooter games like that aren't really my style. Then again Gears was 3rd person and they pulled that off pretty well.

the new socom is going to have that over the shoulder view similar to gears of war. yeah i love socom probably one of my top three games of all time

Probably but not sure....have only tried some single player...didn't like the 3rd person. But if the over shoulder look u mentioned brings it close to Gears's 3rd person, will give it a try. Loved Gears single player...too glitchy online.

well the new socom is online only like warhawk. No single player. there are making a game to come out in late 09/Q1 10 that will be a full game

It's all good. I'll have to add them as friends when i get back online. I currently don't have internet at my house. Mostly cause i can't afford it. It's impossible to find a job in vegas right now. It's downright insane. That's what really sucks though i already preordered socom and it's online only so I'm going to have to stare at the box for a while.
