If I had a PS3, I'd be looking at the Logitech G25 Racing Wheel. It's a little pricey, but you know it's better then the Microsoft wheel we're using.

Check me if I'm wrong here but doesn't the old PS2 900 degree logitech wheel work on the PS3? I thought I'd read somewhere it does.

I would imagine it does Ron. The PS3 has a much better selection of wheels then the xbox 360 does, but I believe the G25 is logitech's latest and greatest. Plus it has the paddle shifters like the Microsoft wheel that most of us are using, very comfortable...makes shifting up and down a breeze.

The old PS2 wheel has wheel mounted shifters too. but not really true paddles.

I got my first look the demo last night. Unfortunately it's hard to get a real feel for the game without a rumble pack, but it looks pretty good. At this point I've only seen one track. You start with a small car (Suzuki?) and you have to run the track within a particular time. Once you've accomplished that, you're awarded a faster car. You then run the same track within a particular time and you're awarded an even faster car...etc. The course is on a hill, lined with spectators on both sides (Rally Style). You start near the top and work your way down a twisty paved road, then back up through a tunnel to the top again. Like Forza, once you've finished your time is uploaded to a database.

Will this game be as good a Forza 2? I personally don't think so. They're marketing it as a driving simulator, but I haven't found any information about upgrades or tuning. My thought is that it's probably going to be more along the lines of PGR, but I do like the hilly tracks. Reminds me a lot of the original Forza...good stuff!

One really nice feature is the ability to map every single button on your controller...just like MotoGP! I'd love to see that incorporated into Ubisoft games. According to their web site, the game is scheduled for release in North America on April 17th, 2008. http://www.gran-turismo.com/
