Default Emailing Video Files

Hey Dudes,

Anyone know of the proper way to email video files? I have about a 3-4 minute clip I want to send someone but my email says the file's to big to send. Help?

Thumbs up Re: Emailing Video Files

If it's too big to send, you might consider creating a YouTube account. It's free and you can simply upload the file and email the link...works great!

Ummm....it's not really "acceptable " for youtube.

Is there a way to "zip" a file and make it smaller?

You can right click anything on your computer and zip it to your desktop for transferring later.

Does that make it smaller so it'll send?

Wink Re: Emailing Video Files

If you have video editing software like "Adobe Premiere Elements", you can re-compress it into a smaller format like Windows Media Video (WMV). Then you should be able to email it without any problems.

Another option would be to upload it to the web space provided by your ISP, then email the link to your friend. They should be able to download it from there.
